Method

Five steps, one site

From the first conversation to launch, every project climbs the same five steps. At each one, you know what happens, what you receive and what you approve.

The example followed here is this site.

  1. On the first step, a sheet carries a project brief: the site’s intent, then its goals, its pages and its world, set out in three columns.

    01

    Understand

    Listen before drawing.

    What happens
A conversation about your business, your clients and what the project must achieve. A review of what exists: site, content, tools.
    You receive
A project brief: goals, scope, content to gather, and what stays out of scope.
    You approve
    The scope and the priorities.
  2. On the second step, the mock-up of the home screen: navigation, title and buttons in place, the setting drawn in line, layout guides, typefaces and the palette of blues.

    02

    Design

A direction shown before it is built.

    What happens
The page structure and the visitor’s path. A visual direction: typography, colours, images, motion.
    You receive
A mock-up of the main screen, to open in your browser.
    You approve
The direction. Nothing is built before you agree.
  3. On the third step, the real site rises like water and covers the mock-up.

    03

    Build

The site is built at a private address that you can open.

    What happens
We put pages, content and animations together with the technology the need calls for: static pages for a brochure website, Next.js and Supabase for an application, Shopify or WooCommerce for a shop.
    You receive
A working version you can visit, kept up to date.
    You approve
    Each screen, as it comes.
  4. On the fourth step, the site in two formats, wide and narrow, next to a list of ticked checks.

    04

    Test

Checked in real browsers rather than assumed.

    What happens
Desktop and phone, keyboard navigation, reduced motion. Speed is measured; links and forms are tried one by one.
    You receive
The list of what was checked, and of what was not.
    You approve
    The version to put online.
  5. On the highest step, near the sphere, the finished site carries its address; butterflies take off.

    05

    Deliver

Launch with your approval, then handover.

    What happens
The launch, after your written approval, then a check of the site once it is live.
    You receive
The site’s code and your access.
    You approve
    Acceptance of the project.

Three rules hold from start to finish.

  1. You approve each step.

No stage starts without your agreement on the one before.

  2. You see the work in progress.

A private address, kept up to date, from the first screen to the last.

  3. We say what has not been checked.

You receive the list of tests with the site.
